Community Guidelines
Effective Date: September 21, 2025

Purpose
Total Highlights exists to inform and connect NFL fans. These guidelines set the rules for posting comments, submitting content, and interacting with others on our website and official channels.

Scope
These rules apply to all user generated content, including comments, posts, messages, profiles, usernames, links, and media you share on Total Highlights.

1. Be respectful
   Treat everyone with courtesy. Disagree with ideas, not people. No insults, name-calling, harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks.

2. No hate or discrimination
   Content that targets or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease is not allowed.

3. No violence or illegal activity
   Do not encourage or threaten violence. Do not promote illegal activities, including buying or selling illegal goods or services.

4. Keep it clean
   Avoid profanity and sexually explicit content. Graphic or gory imagery is not allowed.

5. Stay on topic
   Comments should relate to NFL discussions, stories, games, players, teams, and the article at hand. Off topic spam will be removed.

6. No spam or self promotion
   Do not post repetitive comments, unsolicited ads, mass promotions, or deceptive links. Limited self promotion is allowed only when relevant and clearly disclosed.

7. Misinformation and impersonation
   Do not knowingly share false or misleading information. Do not impersonate another person, brand, reporter, player, or team. Parody must be labeled clearly.

8. Respect copyrights and trademarks
   Share only content you own or have permission to use. Do not upload full game footage, paywalled articles, or other copyrighted material without authorization. Fair use clips for news reporting are limited and may still be removed after review.

9. Privacy and personal data
   Do not post private or identifying information about yourself or others, such as addresses, phone numbers, emails, or financial information.

10. Minors
    Content sexualizing minors or putting minors at risk is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities where required.

11. Quality and formatting
    Add value. Avoid all caps, long copy-pastes, link dumps, and low effort comments. Cite sources when making factual claims.

12. Multiple accounts and manipulation
    Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, amplify content, or manipulate votes and discussions.

13. Reporting problems
    You can report rule violations by emailing support@totalhighlights.com with the URL, a description of the issue, and any screenshots. We appreciate your help keeping the community safe.

14. Moderation actions
    We may edit, hide, or remove content that violates these guidelines. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, especially for repeat or severe violations.

15. Appeals
    If you believe we made a mistake, email support@totalhighlights.com with “Appeal” in the subject, your username, the URL of the content, and a brief explanation. We will review the decision.

16. User responsibility and license
    You are responsible for the content you post. By submitting content, you grant Total Highlights a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting, and distribute your content in connection with our services.

17. Third party links
    If you share links, ensure they are safe, relevant, and not malicious or misleading. We may remove links that violate these guidelines.

18. Enforcement consistency
    We try to apply these rules consistently but may consider context, news value, and safety when making decisions.

19. Changes to these guidelines
    We may update these guidelines from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated rules.
